DTG Printing

DTG or Direct To Garment printing is the process of printing waterbased fabric ink directly on to the garment using CMYK colours. The look of the print is very similar to screen printing but has a softer feel. Unlike screen printing the colours are not applied indvidually they are printed at the same time and are mixed to produce any colour or gradient. The machine can also print white ink which can be used as white or printed under other colours to make them more vibrant.

This is the most cost effective process for short runs as there is no setup charge or colour limit. But it still produces large vibrant prints similar to screen printing.

With Direct To Garment it is also possible to have different print locations on garments such as printing off the bottom of a t-shirt , on the side or even across the neck. We charge a small fee per garment for uncoventional locations.

To use Direct To Garment the fabric must be cotton based.

Vinyl Printing

Vinyl printing is the process of cutting designs out of a roll of media and heat appliying them to the garment. The media comes in a wide variety of colours, textures and effects. Some of these effects include, metalics, reflective, glitter, flock, mirror, neon, denim etc. There are lots more please contact for more information. The media can be applied to most fabrics.

Using this process you are limited to 2 types of media per design we can do more but due to labor involved it may not be cost effective. Also the design cannot be too intricate as every design must be hand peeled from the roll once cut.

Screen Printing

Screen printing is the process to use for larger runs of multi coloured designs and also cost effective for smaller runs of designs with less colours. The design is printed one colour at a time to build up the image.

To use this process you must consider the amount of colours in your design as there is a price for setting up each colour then a print price per colour.

There is a limit of 6 colours per design. if you require more colours or a smaller quantity then its best to use DTG printing having no colour limitations and very similar end results.
